We have completed part one of our ‘renos’ and can’t wait to show you our new look.
The Queensland Audit Office (QAO) recently refurbished its accommodation with more modern facilities that enhance our client engagement, support our changing workforce and enable activity-based working.
Level 13 at 53 Albert Street Brisbane is our external-facing level, providing a suite of meeting spaces, boardrooms and training rooms. It’s now open for business. We will use Level 14 for most of QAO’s in-house work and it will be open early next year.
The new facilities and new way of working means QAO teams will work more collaboratively together as one QAO. This collaboration will support more efficient and valuable service delivery for our clients and heighten innovation.
We’re also investing in updated technology to help our staff be more mobile and visit you, or work with you, at client sites more often. And we’ll have video conferencing technology to more easily engage with remotely-based clients and stakeholders.
You’ll see new names for our meeting rooms come though on invites from your QAO contacts. The names of these rooms below as a heads up. We chose Queensland’s world heritage areas to reflect the beauty and diversity of our state. The rooms are on Level 13, 53 Albert street. There will be a ‘check in’ system in the foyer.

- Great Barrier Reef, training or events room.
Overall, these changes provide QAO with cost efficiencies and will support our future strategy by providing flexibility for business change whilst limiting disruption. It also supports the whole-of-government strategy to maintain occupancy of existing long-term leases, improve densities and reduce costs.
