Each financial year, a number of reports are presented to Parliament containing the results of financial and compliance audits completed during the year. This report is the first containing the results of financial and compliance audits of public sector entities with 30 June 2010 balance dates.

This report includes the results of audits of departments, statutory bodies, government owned corporations and their controlled entities completed as at 31 October 2010. This report also includes the results of the audits of 36 local government entities for which an independent auditor’s report was issued by 31 October 2010.
